For sale is a Marantz ST-300 AM-FM Stereo analog tuner in excellent condition. This tuner has excellent sound and features a very wide soundstage with good depth. With a good external (outdoor) antenna this tuner picks up a lot of stations and appears to be very stable.
With its classic looks and gyro tuning you can’t go wrong with this all analog tuner. The RCA cables are captive on this tuner (see photos) and there is a 25us and 75us de-emphasis switch on the back. I have not been able to gather much information on this tuner but did find out that it was made between 1979 and 1981. I have no owner’s manual for it but I do have an information sheet that I have printed out and will include that with the tuner when sold.
The tuner has a FM stereo/mono switch with muting and a switch to change to AM mode only. The AM FM and FM Stereo indicator lights work on the front panel. The back lighting for the tuning slider and signal strength and tuning indicator are working. It will not need new bulbs for that function.
Otherwise functionally and cosmetically the tuner is in excellent condition with only a few light scratches to the back edge of the top of the faceplate. The tuning dial and signal/tuning plastic faces look as new and are not scratched.
