Note: Many audio circles shorten the tube type number and refer to them as 6H30DR tubes.
Tip: Check the date before you buy them. 6H30DR tubes from the 1980’s or earlier are considered the optimum . So check the date format (should be the format of MM YY) to distinguish if the tube is of vintage production or current production versions. The 6H30DR tubes were also manufactured after the 1980's by Sovtek but they kept the Reflector / Reflektor shield brand and look but changed the date format (very current production). So, even if they have the Reflector / Reflektor shield they may very well be newer / current production Sovtek.

This matched pair will have:
- Reflector / Reflektor Saratov shield: See photos
- Rhombus / Diamond Symbol
- Correct date and date format (this is a quick and easy way to tell if they are current production or NOS). Example: 07 86 is 1986. 04 79 is 1979. Year is derived from the second two digits. Some sellers are claiming the first two digits as the year so be informed. Example: 86 06 is 2006. Yes, that is tricky but it is the new or current production date format. The NOS version is the premium sounding version so look for something like 02 86 instead.
- Original Reflector / Reflektor tube boxes. You can see them in the photos.
- NOS Type on the tube is the Russian 6Н30П-ДР
Information about the letters and symbols:
ДР = DR (Where D is extra-long life and R is extra high reliability)
OTK = Double Checked by Soviet State Quality Control
<> = Diamond or Rhombus stands for Russian Military

One last fact: During the 1980's the Reflector / Reflektor factory had to adhere to an extremely strict regimen and production standard. All of the tubes approved from there during this time period had to have exceptional parameters for military purposes.
