Amazing amplifier in perfect condition. I’m the original owner, and I purchased the amplifier about 2 years ago. I purchased it at ‘The Source AV Design Group’ – a McIntosh Platinum Dealer - it was an in-store demo. I’m switching to an all tube system – this is the last of my solid state stuff. This has always been used with high efficiency speakers, so hasn’t worked hard in my possession. From a smoke-free and child free home.
All lights work perfectly and the glass is flawless. Original power cord included. I do NOT have the original box (never thought I'd sell it, but that's how this hobby goes), so local pick-up in Los Angeles is preferred. I’m happy to have the unit professionally packaged and shipped, but I’m putting in a pretty high shipping cost as this will take a lot of effort. Boxed it weighs about 110 pounds and is very fragile – so shipping is always rather expensive for these massive amplifiers.
Again, I’m willing to make the best deal for local pickup in Los Angeles. Shipping will likely be $200 within the US and $300 in Canada.

The shallow depth of the MC252 makes it a snap to install in popular standard size
cabinets or shelving. With 250 watts per channel at 0.005% maximum distortion across
the entire audio spectrum, the MC252 delivers lots of clean power. The two channels
of the MC252 can also be combined into a single high-power channel that delivers 500
watts into 1, 2, 4, 8 or 16 Ohms.
McIntosh’s exclusive Output Autoformers® ensure that the amplifier will always deliver
full power, without stress, to any type of loudspeaker. Whether your speakers are 2, 4, or 8
Ohms, McIntosh autoformers ensure that you’ll always get all of the power you paid for.
The MC252 incorporates Power Guard®, a patented circuit design exclusive to McIntosh.
Power Guard monitors output power and prevents clipping dynamically using photo-optic
circuits. Protection at the speed of light.
