Hey all - like the title says, looking for a couple of *CHEAP* donor Grace f-9 styli that have been used up. Broken/bent cantilevers, missing tips, whatever. The plastic stylus body and brass back side that slides into the cart body have to be undamaged. Willing to pay shipping and few bucks.
Basically looking for a couple of donor candidates to attempt a rebuild on using some cheap donor styli and their cantilevers to see what I can come up with. If this project is successful, it might very well produce an alternative to expensive NOS and very expensive Soundsmith retipping of these venerable old carts. The whole procedure will be documented on VE dor all to see the success/failure of the endeavor. I've already got a ruby one, but they have substantially different internal construction, so, I'd like a few of any of the other colored ones (green, clear, grey, blue, etc. stylus bodies). What do you all have in your parts bins?
