Harman Kardon A300 tube integrated stereo amplifier. 15w/ch, uses 7408 (6V6GTA) output tubes in push-pull. Complete recap- all electrolytic and paper film caps replaced with new caps, and phono stage has been rebuilt with all discrete caps and resistors (to replace the original "integrated circuit" packs in the phono stage- many of the caps and resistors in that had drifted in value, so they were replaced with "blueprinted" (hand-selected for tight match to specs) separate caps and resistors). Even the NART-B tape EQ has been given the same care- which is rare when people restore these units (many just discard it)!
All original tubes- 4- Sylvania built, HK-labeled 7408 output tubes (which test very good), 4- Telefunken-built 12AX7 input tubes, and 1- Telefunken-built 12AU7 (all input tubes test as new).
Unit has been cleaned internally (including pots and switches), works great. Sound is wonderful. Very good shape cosmetically, considering the age (50 years)- a few scratches on the top cover and on the bottom of the front face, but all writing on face plate and rear panels in excellent shape.
If I didn't already have one of these, I would not be selling this one. In fact, the one I have already, I've owned and had in daily use for 15 years, and feel no need to upgrade it to ANYTHING else.
