Up for sale my Atma Sphere S-30 MK111 with all the Upgrades.
With the right speakers this could be your end all amplifier. Maybe a set of A series Lowthers or AER's in the right cabinets comes to mind.
You are looking at 6k or better to get an S-30 to this level. That is a fact. These amplifiers are very expensive to upgrade. 2k alone for the Caddock Resistor Package.
UPGRADES: Caddock Resistor Package Power Supply Boost V-Cap Upgrade (CUTF Copper Foil V-Caps) Polished Aluminum Back Splash
The amp was fully provisioned from the factory with all the above but with the regular TFTF Tin Foil Teflon V-Caps of which it was again upgraded to the CUTF Copper Foil V-Caps, Much more fluid and palpable sound, better everywhere
These amps are fantastic performers but have to be paired with the right speakers to be at their best, 16ohms is an ideal load and increases the output over an 8ohm load from 30WPC to 45WPC . Strong points of this amplifier with the right load are excellent bass extension, very fluid and detailed mid range and the best treble of any amplifier I have ever owned, period. No set amp sonically can compare.
Another option for the S-30 with lower impedance speakers would be to use the Zero Autoformers that can multiply the speaker impedance by 2,3 or 4 times so a 4ohm speaker could be made to where the amplifier would see a 16 ohm load. OTL owners use these autoformers to good success all the time.
Tubes I have two sets of Russian SED Winged C Logo 6H13C OTK marked 6AS7 equivilent output tubes (ten per set) that are included as well as four of the Stock Chinese 6SN7's and 2 GE 6SN7 grey plates that I found to be an excellent combination.
One set of ten 6H13C output tubes are a new set used a few hours and still test new , the other set has plenty of life left on them and actually test nearly as well as the new ones. These are a very robust and linear tube , all have the SED Winged C logo w/ OTK Russian Military mark with the red dot notating they are a premium tested tube.. The new owner will be set on output tubes for years.
Any questions don't hesitate to ask. For the asking I will include free ship to the conus Paypal add 3%
