This is the legendary George Kaye designed MOSCODE 300 Tube Power Amplifier. This amplifier was the first of it's kind employing a tube front-end (6DJ8 & 6FQ7 x2) and a MOSFET output stage (150wpc into 8 ohms). This hybrid amplifier is a classic, not only for it's place in history, but for its sound and bulletproof operation. These amplifiers are known to be very robust, long lasting & problem free.
It's fresh from the shop with a clean bill of health and rated at a 7 just to be safe, the tubes are good and it sounds great. This one is completely stock. There are a few small scratches on top. This is the amp you want if you are looking for an economical way to drive your inefficient speakers: Apogee, JBL, Magneplanar, etc. I'm running a hard to drive set of Egglestonworks Rosa's ( 5 drivers, 87 db sensitivity) with fantastic results .
Stop over to give it a listen. It will go to BEST OFFER so feel free to make one or offer an interesting trade. I'll gladly meetup part-way and could possibly ship if absolutely needed. Thanks for looking.
