Greetings!

I will be replacing my entire 2-channel audio system (see pic of the entire system)! I don't have any pets, I don't smoke and there are no children putting peanut butter everywhere! (I do love kids and animals though!)

I have had these two amplifiers since new and I have been really happy with them for over 10 years now. I am rating them an 8 because of their age and because they were sent to Parasound twice for a repair under warranty (in the first two years of ownership). One amp also has a known superficial lighting glitch: when powered on one light stays red, when it should go blue. This does not affect the sonics and I didn't want to risk shipping damage so I left it as is. I do have all the original boxes but it's been 10 years so they are no longer suitable for shipping; maybe we can meet somewhere in the midwest to make the transaction?

Update: I have been asked repeatedly so the serial numbers are 01950 and 01932. Also, I contacted Parasound regarding refurbishment/maintenance and they do NOT need to be updated or refurbished. However, they are 11 years old and if something were to go wrong (apparently caps can go on solid state amps) it would cost between $700 to $1000 to repair each amp (ouch!). Again, they do NOT need to be repaired and are working perfectly (except for the aforementioned lighting glitch) - nonetheless, I am reducing the price (was at $4000) to reflect the risk of future repair.

If you haven't heard them before, they sound majestic, holographic and powerful - especially with my Talon speakers (which just sold). They don't sound like tubes, but they don't sound solid state either; they just sound damn good. They are deserving of their superlative reviews and I am listing at under the other pairs on Audio Mart and on Audiogon.

Thanks for looking!
