I see you guys are still buying CDs. I haven't bought one since Tidal launched about 2 years ago. I used to buy the CD, then if I liked it, I would get the vinyl copy.

Now with Tidal, no need for CDs anymore.

Never thought I would ever do this, but Tidal is da bomb!!!

Yeah, still listening to CD’s, just found a VG+ of Captain Beyond, their first album and also bought the CD of the group UK, their self-titled release (UK). I am awaiting the pre-order of David Gilmore's "Live at Pompeii" Boxed CD/BluRay set, that will be sweet as honey...Several others I will list as they come in. Music is wonderfully amazing.

Enjoy the Music (while you still can)

Cheers

My modest line-up:
Destiny Integrated, Destiny CD, Music Hall mmf-cd25, Pioneer Elite DV-58AV Universal Player, Sjöfn the clue speakers, (NIB Simaudio neo 220i), 3R Renaissance USB re-clocker, B & O H6, Audeze EL-8. (Things I don't need but have: NIB Arcam rHead headphone amp and a NIB Audiolab M-DAC Mini Headphone Amp/DAC) Waiting, (again), for my ProAc Tablette Tens...I'm keeping this pair.

CDs' - New. $16.00 including shipping from a UK-based ebay powerseller. The Rudy Van Gelder remaster is something of a revelation. Truly remarkable sonics when you consider that all the songs on this compilation were recorded in the late '50s and early '60s. It's like having a piano trio in my Music room. Incredible!

I'm new to town so I've been checking out the local haunts for the never-ending search for new & used vinyl. There aren't many used record stores for a city of Albuquerque's size but several stores have a presence at booths in various antique malls around town. Found a few real bargains in the past several weeks.

Just $4.50 for this mono Japanese pressing. Jaye P. Morgan is probably better known to most USAM members for her off-color antics as a panelist on The Gong Show in the '70s'. But she was a helluva singer too.

A 1972 two-LP reissue of Back Country Suite and Local Color, both released in '57. Remastered by Rudy Van Gelder; liner notes by Pete Townshend!

This one remastered for stereo by RVG in '65.

Although it would be nice to have the original LPs' from the 2 reissues, I figured that if I ever found them in above average condition they would cost a small fortune. So I'm happy to have discovered these at a fair price. All 5 LPs' appear to be in VG+ to NM condition but that will be determined when "tha needle hits tha record". $12.00 for each double LP set and $4.00 for Down Home Piano.

$27.98 shipped. These Steve Hoffman remasters are worth every penny. Ime they are more consistently satisfying than many MFSL titles.
