Neko Case-"Blacklisted" on regular 180 gram black vinyl

Hey Brad! How you doin'?

Just wondering why you purchased Blacklisted separately when it was included in the Neko Case LP boxset that you bought at the beginning of this year?

Howdy,

Yeah, I knew you were going to ask me about that :D I also bought her (3) colored vinyl LPs that came out over the past few months and have preordered the remaining normal LPs that have been announced so far.

It's just easier to pull each LP out of my collection than opening the boxset and trying to find it. Also, she needs the money. Well that's my story and I'm sticking to it. :)

I have an appointment with my Psychiatrist later this month...

Hey it makes perfect sense to me. And I thought that I was a big fan of hers.

Went on a bit of a binge this week, stopping by a couple of my favorite shops in SF; Rooky Ricardo's in the lower Haight, and Recycled Records and Amoeba in the Upper Haight. Picked up:
Paul McCartney box set -- remastered on 180g vinyl
Ambrosia -- One Eighty
J. Geils Band -- Bloodshot
Checkmate -- an old Buddah Records release of The Lemon Pipers and 1910 Fruitgum Co.
The Enigma Variations -- an early 80's compilation of US underground punk
Melanie -- Stoneground Words
Jefferson Airplane -- Bless Its Pointy Little Head
John Mayall -- Back to the Roots
Harry Chapin -- Heads and Tails

Then I killed it with an SACD of Allman Bros., Eat A Peach and a DTS disc of Lyle Lovette, Joshua Judges Ruth.

Okay, so I binged. But when records are sparkling and $5, and hi-rez discs are $10-$15, I just can't help myself...

Great choice! That collection should sound excellent on vinyl.

Love these songs. Those two really made some beautiful music together. So disappointing that they broke up.
