Well, we’ve explored the other side of the coin. What about experiences with sellers that do not respond to emails, fail to answer simple, and direct questions, quote list prices that have nothing to do with the item that they are selling, or are prices from later production of a model when the serial number indicates earlier production. Then there is misgrading of cosmetics, failure to disclose functional defects, inadequate packing on and on.

Buyers are hardly the only jerks out there.

+1

by logic, all that must be true.

But, hold on for the good USAM/ CAM sellers - there are some, I know.

I especially loathe what I refer to as 'unmotivated' sellers who are seemingly adverse to answering emails in a timely fashion. And by timely I mean within 24-hours of my email. If they can't be bothered to respond to inquiries about their gear then to me that's a red flag of sorts and I just move along to the next opportunity.

All of you are spot on. But, it does appear as of late there are more deadbeats on both sides of the coin as it was called, then I ever can remember or have heard about. Sad....

It's funny you started this thread. About 2 weeks ago I responded to an ad in these classifieds. Not once but twice, and guess what? No response from seller to either question. I don't get it. Why post an ad,and not respond to perspective buyers?? Total flakes.

Someone reponded to my ad via PM. I got email notification from the Mart. I could read the PM, but couldn't reply because I hadn't posted enough to use PM. If you responded the ad via PM, this could be a reason the seller did not reply. Anyway, I have one post away from PM capable. Hope the Mart will change the rule or at least disable the PM for those who are not allowed to use it yet.

Have you contacted USAM about allowing you usage to PM while you have an active ad? That is an excellent point you bring up and it could affect others who post an ad yet do not have enough postings to allow for PM usage....

Yes, I did. But got no reply. I later made enough posting to have my PM activated.

Easy work around while waiting to be able to post to PM is just make a few random posts to threads and you've reached your minimum for PM.
