Hi,
I hope I could ask for help from members of this forum.

My brother in law who was an audiophile. He suddenly passed away leaving a number of pieces in his collection. Among them is a pair of Rogers LS3/5A. I googled the model number but I could not find an appropriate value for them. I am trying to sell them so I give the money to his parents.

Any help determining their value would be appreciated.
Thanks

This pair is not the highly sought-after 15-ohm/BBC version. There are currently 8 pairs of those speakers for sale on Canuck Audio Mart with prices ranging from $2999.00 to $3800.00 CAD.

There is one pair on CAM very similar to the speakers in your pics and the asking price is quite a bit less at $1400.00 CAD. At the current exchange rate the price would be $1036.00 in US dollars.

Below is a link to a list of recently Sold LS3/5a models on ebay; keep in mind that some of these models are the more desirable 15-ohm/BBC versions.

Xeurom,
I'm in Fullerton. I'm not interested in the speakers but I buy and sell a bit. I'd suggest listing them "local only" on Ebay. Safer transaction than Craigslist. Fewer flakes.

What's wrong with a 'local only' sale here on USAM? It's free.

That way he gets to keep all of the proceeds; a successful sale on ebay will cost him $$$. But I'll admit that the ebay ad will have more eyes on it....

Thank you Rmac587, hifijones.

I have been listing a few item here. all the pieces were his. I hope to get all the proceeds for his parents. I hope to finish selling them quickly at lower price, but not giving them away as his parents are really the beneficiaries.
