We've updated the search system so that you can now search by distance. This is a much requested feature that is activated when you perform a search and provide a US zip code.

How to use it:

• Perform a search like you normally would
• When results come up, you can add a zipcode/postal code to the search filter, and select a "radius".
• Submit the search again, the results will sort by distance, from closest to farthest.
• Click here for an example of a search for all items within 250 miles of a Downtown Los Angeles zip code.

Note: to find all items within distance of a zip code, just click Advanced Search and only enter a zip code as the search criteria.

How it works

The system relies on the zip code that members enter into their user profile. If you wish for your items to be properly reflected in distance search please make sure your zip code is correct in your user profile. Note that if your zip code is not working correctly or is faulty, your classifieds will probably not show up at all when buyers use Search by Distance.
