As this forum grows, there will be those who will want to know what would be a good turntable. To those who love analog and their gear, it's time we show our turntable(s), phono cartridges, and phono preamps. Anyone who is looking to get into vinyl, or those who are looking to get back into vinyl, this would be a good reference thread for turntables, phono cartridges, and phono preamps.

Show us your turntable and the gear you are using, and post any comments you think that might be helpful for those looking to make a purchase.

Gee corby I feel for you.

My deepest sympathies.

Now I don't feel so crazy having three turntables (THREE? What do you need three turntables for?). Thanks!

Wait...what, you only have three turntables? Not even in the bigs yet. :-)

Peter, you should also post a few pics of your Denon tables. They are indeed gorgeous!

My pride & joy.

For the $$$ I spent I'm sure I could have done better performance-wise with other brands of turntables but I've been coveting an LP12 since I was 21 and this one was in such pristine shape I couldn't walk away. Even the dust cover is near-mint. I'm the 2nd owner. The original owner purchased it in '88, used it sparingly until the mid '90s and then boxed it up and put it in storage until December of last year. So it could be accurately described as a true time-capsule tt.

I upgraded the bearing to Cirkus, the subchassis to Majik and the Valhalla to Lingo2. The old armboard in the pictures was also upgraded to the new laminated style armboard. The Troika has about 40% of its' life expectancy left in it and I have a Linn Linto phono section ready and waiting. The worst part is that I'm moving out of Floriduh soon so everything is in storage and it could be weeks or months until I get a chance to hear some of my vinyl treasures played on it. Harrumph.
