Excellent Sansui SS receiver in great working and super clean physical/cosmetic condition ! All functions, lamps, and signal meter works as they should. Rated at 32 watts/ch RMS into 8 ohms or 36 watts/ch RMS into 4 ohms (remember that's a conservative rating by 60's 70's standards). All controls/pots and push switches have been cleaned with DeOxit 5 so they are smooth and quiet. Outputs equally clean and strong sound on both L&R channels.. don't let the 32 - 36 watts/ch RMS fool you.. it has plenty of power for large floor-standing speakers as well as quality bookshelf speakers. An original, hard-copy Owners Manual and Service Manual, along with an FM T-wire antenna are included. Receiver is from a pet-free, smoke-free home.

Inside of unit is very clean and dust-free (see pics). I thoroughly cleaned faceplate, and all knobs... polished walnut case with lemon oil and 0000 steel wool. Entire receiver looks as great as it performs. Faceplate is beautiful and all lettering intact. Receiver has it's original/standard black metal case AND the optional walnut wood case (has one tiny chip along rear edge of upper, left side... and a few darkened/age spots).. there is one long thin scratch on top of black metal case, from front to rear... where the genius original owner must have attempted to install the wood case , UPSIDE DOWN and drug it across a hard staple on the bottom of wood case... DUH! Its not horrible and doesnt show in its wood case, and even if take out, and would be on a rack or shelf, wouldn't be distracting.. Don't know why anyone would not want this beautiful receiver IN its wood case..that makes it ! The wood case alone would SELL on eBay for $100 in a flash.

Packing will be a serious 1/2 day job. I'm 62, have collected and sold vintage audio for 30 years, and know how to pack fragile tube radios, turntables, speakers and components.. RIGHT! When I hand the package (often double boxed) to the carrier, I have no concerns whatsoever.. they could drop box from 5 feet onto concrete, landing on a corner and it will not only survive the direct hit, but the impact shock.. if the buyer's new toy doesn't arrive in great shape..noone is happy.. I pack as though I'm shipping an item to ME. Buy with confidence!!
