Many years ago I found a box of old jazz records. The covers were pretty good, the records were mixed condition, most had more than their share of surface marks. I'm not a Jazz expert, but knew enough that blue & white label Blue Notes were good to pick up etc. So I bought the box. I've never done anything much with them, I've listened to a few just to hear the music. Horace Silver, Coltrane, Hancock,Lou Donaldson, Donald Bird,Tiny Grimes etc.(a few blues too) and many more. I do see that according to Jazz Collector old original JAZZ lps are escalating in price & can get hundreds and even multiple thousands of dollars ($5,000 plus sometimes). But I am not confident that the vinyl condition of a lot of these would be acceptable to many collectors, so instead of taking money or offers for them, I would feel more comfortable trading the lot of them for collectible lps or even audio equipment.Maybe someone has some really good equipment that works great but might be slightly dinged up etc.or a great phono cartridge that still tracks ok but whose remaining hours are limited (but which I could use for taping a few hundred of my lps in higher fidelity) I would feel more comfortable with that, than taking money for them. From memory I think there are about 30 titles. All are known artists on old collectible era pressings.Let me know what you have. I am open to anything from tape equipment to amplifiers, cables, speakers etc. When I can get around to locating the box I can list titles or read them over the phone. I also have some boxes of early stereo classical lps and lots of 1970's and 80's rock and the later Jazz Fusion.
