*This is an all new design, but I still make other versions of power cables - see website link above*
**This ad price is for a 5' length with 15 amp plugs (standard North American). Other options are available - see ad pics, and/or contact me for details.**

While ‘The .1’ [The Point One] has been called a “fantastic product”, “a thing of beauty”, and "a game changer", I like to continually push myself, and challenge what's possible.
Don’t get me wrong, I'm incredibly proud of 'The .1' and I’m happy with “Impressive”, but I’m wired to strive for “Holy Sh_t!"

So, with that said, allow me to introduce you to ‘The 5’ [The Five]*.

It features the same 7.5 AWG conductor design as ‘The .1’, which is 133 29 AWG stranded 4N Oxygen-Free Copper wires wrapped in a Teflon dielectric, and encased is a heavy EPDM Rubber jacket.
Also, similarly to ‘The .1’, the cotton insulation/dielectric runs through the middle of the cable to keep the conductors separated, additional cotton is placed between the individual conductors creating complete isolation, then everything is bundled together and sleeved.

However, ‘The 5’ utilizes 5 of the conductors [versus 3 for ‘The .1’], which requires the use of roughly double the cotton insulation/dielectric to achieve the separation and isolation of the conductors.
I’ve used 2 conductors each for the “Hot” and “Neutral”, and 1 for the Ground, which makes ‘The 5’ a 4.5 AWG – yes, 4.5 AWG – monster of a power cable.

Some quick math tells you the “Hot" and “Neutral” lines are made up of 266 29 AWG 4N Copper wires – ohhh, baby!

So, I’ve got this monster of a cable, but what do I terminate it with?

I made this cable to compete with the absolute best this industry has to offer, and as such, I wanted to use the best plugs.
Arguably, the best plugs on the market today are the Furutech Fi50 NCF’s, so during my R&D process, I bought a set direct from Furutech [to ensure they were genuine] and went to work.

The results?

A fan-freakin’-tastic cable!
But… eep! Those plugs are ridiculously expensive.

So, I went on the hunt for a suitable alternative, and after a long road and some wrong turns [including some absolutely terrible replicas/fakes/knock-offs], I decided to give the Fi50 specs [namely the plating process and shell materials] to my supplier and see what they could make for me.

The results?

A fan-freakin’-tastic Fi50 COPY, which was found to be sonically [and visually] indistinguishable from the genuine article, and not just to my eyes and ears.
The Fi50 copies I use don’t have “Alpha-Pure” [whatever that means] Copper, Silver-Plated Carbon Fiber, or the “Nano Crystal Formula” gobbledygook.

However, they do have Stainless Steel bodies with Carbon Fiber inlays [excellent EMI/RFI noise rejection], non-magnetic metal strain relief clamps, an Earth/Ground jumper [Furutech calls it a "Floating Field Damper"], and in my opinion most importantly, 4N Copper pins with Rhodium plating DIRECTLY on the Copper with NO Nickel substrate/backing to hinder current flow.

Let me be perfectly clear here - yes, these plugs are copies, but they are NOT some hastily made product thrown together with sub-par components.
They are made with quality materials and a high level of craftsmanship, because to put it bluntly, I would not use them if they weren't.

I think they are a worthy companion to ‘The 5’, as it takes a very well-made plug to handle a 4.5 AWG power cable.

Together they have made a cable that can go toe-to-toe with the best.

Don't let the price fool you - ‘The 5’ is the real deal.

This cable is, in a word, "GODZILLA"! And when you hear it…

Holy sh_t!

*This is technically the fifth model of power cable I've dreamed [dreamt?] up, it contains 5 conductors, and it was originally intended to be a 5 AWG cable, so clearly my household is not very creative when it comes to naming things. For further evidence, you can refer to our pet bunny, whose name is Mr. Bunny.
