Dear Admin I have tried and tried both ways by dragging photos and by direct select from my computer, the uploader is not working! In fact it does not do anything at all. I have disabled add blocker and pop up blocker but to no avail!

Please help. Thanks!

Try completing the ad "then" go back and edit the ad to include pictures. I've had to do this a few times.

Not sure why this is happening, but every few months someone posts that they can't include images?

How 'bout it mods...

There are many potential reasons why the uploader doesn't work, if you've already tried turning off ad blockers have you also looked at whether you have any firewalls? are you trying to upload from a corporate network? Some of those block certain domains which might include domains we rely on for some of these operations to work.

Can you describe if you click the orange File Upload button does a box open up to let you select images?

Can you try the following steps to see if there are any errors:

  • Go to the Edit Ad page and then the Manage Image page for one of your ads
  • Right click on the page to bring up your browser's option menu, and look for the option called "Inspect", click on Inspect
  • This opens up a potentially intimidating window with a row of headings at the top, look for one called Console and click on it.
  • Now refresh the webpage while this window is open, some messages may pop up in the console. Take a screenshot of what messages pop up and post it.
  • After the Manage Images page has refreshed, and you've taken the screenshot of the console, try to upload an image or images. After they fail, look at the console for any messages, take a screenshot and upload those message.

Other things to check:

Some of the critical files that are required for image uploading are sometimes blocked by firewalls, if you can open these files and they look like a bunch of code that's good, but if they are blocked or won't load then something is preventing these critical files from loading:

I also could not post, drag n'drop images until I temporarily restarted FireFox in safe-mode with add-ons disabled.
Try that!

Thank you All. I finally got it to work. I think it was the combination of add and popup blockers that were doing it.

Is there any way to find out exactly what the ad / popup blocker was blocking that is causing the problem? Could you perhaps share what combination of extensions together would cause the problem (and on what browser) so I can try to recreate and do some testing?

The files needed for USAM to work properly are hosted on our own private domains that do not serve any ads, so there's no reason for them to be blocked (these files are used for various functions on the site like replying to ads, posting ads, uploading images, etc, and don't participate in ad serving)

I'm trying to create an ad, but I can't post images, either. I get an "Failed to write file to disk" message. I can't create a post without images, so what can I do? I turned off my ad blocker--didn't help. I've also tried two browsers--that didn't work, either.

Me too, same message. Tried with three browsers, ad blocking and not. I posted an ad with several photos a couple of hours ago, so I wonder if that part of the system is down at the moment. Posted a link to OneDrive instead.
